Custom Made Side Stand Relocator
This Side Stand Relocator has been designed for the KTM 990 Adventure, 950 Adventure and 950 Super Enduro. This will help prevent the engine case cracking due to the original (bad) design of the side stand bolting directly to the engine case. Many owners of these bikes after falling off or rocks hitting the side stand off road, have had there engine cases seriously damaged resulting in a complete engine rebuild. For the Super Enduro without a centre stand, you will need an additional bush to fit the Relocator.

Side Stand Relocator Materials
The current Mk2 Side Stand Relocator is made from 8mm steel alloy. It’s designed to accommodate the KTM Adv, BD, G-IT sump guards, many other sump guards also fit. And also to accommodate modifications guys have made for the early 03-04 frames, (KTM Forum UK Link). It’s comparable to KTM’s 8mm side stand bracket plate, meaning a point of give is more even and equal.
Trying to keep an objective view, but I think this is the best solution available without welding to the frame like on the original 950 Dakar bike. I’m really happy with the results and outcome of these relocators; it has taken an incredible amount of effort to get the measurements precise, we are talking a 10th of a mm here, thank you Mike for your engineering excellence and ACP for loan of your 950.
Deeper Insights
My Side Stand Relocator used two M10 countersunk bolts to relocate the load from the engine case mounting points. The Relocator is fixed to the frame using the main engine mount bolt, centre-stand bolt and sump guard bolt. The shark fin design on the plate is to prevent any rotation in a hard crash, it sits between the frames webbing. All fixings and instructions provided.
KTM Centre Stand Bushes
#Also available from Charlie Nut; my must have, and very cost efficient KTM upgrade; my premium KTM Centre Stand Bushes. If you do not have a centre stand you will need one centre stand bush to fit the Side Stand Relocator, I can provide an upgraded version bush over KTM’s OEM. Or if you have a centre stand just upgrade the bushes whilst fitting the relocator.
They’re made from marine grade stainless steel and are a direct replacement for the KTM OEM centre-stand bushes.
